Studio Glass JJ is a small family business. Sisters Jana and Jitka (JJ) with their father Zdenek design unique jewellery from traditional Czech glass beads.
Jana and Jitka use handmade lampwork glass beads to create necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Czech lampwork glass beads are made individually over the torch and are considered to be of the highest quality in the world.
The family studio cooperates with other exceptional designers and artists from Czech Republic.
Zdenek is mainly using two technologies to create unique and unusual art objects like plates, bowls, glass pictures and other glass sculptures.
One is called Fused Glass (fusing), where various qualities and colours of glass are fused together. Other technique is „Slumped Glass“ where cut glass slumps are subjected to exact temperatures in the furnace into mould and then shaped.
